Sadly, there is a part two.
My mom has always said I am a glorified product wh**e. I have no issues admitting I have problem. It’s an addiction I see no point in fixing, however, my wallet would appreciate it gladly.
If you’re not familiar with the VIB Sale, Sephora celebrates it’s point holders by offering them a discount on all products twice per year: 15% occurring in the spring, and a very generous 20% taking place sometime in November.
With the exception of two items pictured above, everything is a brand new product in my arsenal.
There’s two reasons why I stocked up more than usual during the sale. 1. I have had my eye on several items, and 20% off sealed the deal. 2. I recently stumbled on the website www.cosdna.com where you can analyze the ingredients of your cosmetics and their safety level. Needless to say I was baffled at how many “toxic” ingredients were in some of my favorites and lead to a clean sweep of my current skincare routine.
So far the Blueberry Bounce Cleanser from Glow Recipe has been AMAZING. A little bit goes a very long way. It leaves my dry skin feeling clean but moisturized at the same time.
The two Drunk Elephant products, C Firma Day Serum & T.L.C Framboos Glycolic Night Serum, are replacing two products that failed my ingredients analysis mentioned above. I will need to use both of these a bit longer before seeing dramatic results. Disclaimer, I was using a Vitamin C Serum & AHA serum before. The good news is I have been using both for less than a week and I can see a visible difference in my skin. My makeup appears to be going on smoother, and I haven’t had any breakouts which typically happens with my sensitive skin.
My previous night time moisturizer was another product that failed in terms of ingredients. Naturally I splurged on a skin junky favorite, Tatcha’s The Water Cream. You. Need. It. This is one product I can firmly say will be a staple as long as it exists.
I’m a sucker for masks, especially sheet masks. I was on a quest for the perfect sheet mask for my skin, and the Belif Aqua Bomb Sheet Mask wins. I was extremely hungover on Sunday, which means tired and dry skin. I slapped this baby on, and I could not Belif (punny, I know) how glorious my skin looked. I immediately snapchatted a friend how miraculous my skin looked. All I gotta say is I received an angel emoji in reply, that’s how you know it’s the real deal.
Dr. Dennis Gross is a skin connoisseur, and his peel pads have a cult following. I wasn’t quite ready to take the leap on an entire box, so the pack of five is a perfect way for me test these out.
Christen Dominique, a YouTube beauty blogger, posted a no make-up, make-up look using Erborian CC Creme. The result was flawless skin that was easy and effortless. I used it for the first time on Sunday while attending a puppy play date, and I was pleased with how it performed.
Buxom Lip Polish in Sophia & BB Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Primer are restocks. I won’t go into detail on these, but if they last in my collection long enough for me to want to buy them again, you need em.
Did you purchase anything during the Sephora VIB Sale? Would you like a follow up on these products in the future?
