Maxed Out

March 8, 2018

This week has been non stop. It’s only Thursday, but whew. I felt this way halfway through Tuesday.

Granted I am not complaining that the week is dragging ass. Quite the opposite. I have felt like there are not nearly enough hours in the day. If I were able to workout, go to work, run maybe one errand, read, prep for the next day AND get eight hours of sleep that would be miraculous. I’d have to knock out like three of those things to get cleaning in there somewhere.

Again not complaining, it is a great problem to have. I really just despise not being able to check every item off that day’s to-do list.

How do some women or men handle it all? I can’t imagine adding kids to the mix just yet. How do you spend time with them, do everything you need to do, and make time for yourself? HOW?!

There are some days where I literally have to task things in order of what is most important to what can wait for the weekend. Then the weekend rolls around and I just want to relax. It’s a vicious cycle I tell ya.

I know how fortunate I am, so do not mistake my venting for feeling sorry for myself.

I LOVE being busy. But I do love an hour here or there to veg or catch up on my Tivo.

I feel now is the time to improve upon my time management skills. I would say I was pretty good, but for some reason life is just getting busier and busier. Do I need to set timers and delegate a certain amount of time to a certain task? Do I need to quite literally schedule my day? Is this what getting old feels like?

What are some of your tricks to mastering time management? If you need some TLC in that area of your life, what are you going to start doing to make the most of your time?

-xx, Lauren.

Preach it, sister! As soon as you find the answers, let me know too! So much to do, so little time.
