I picked up a few things I wanted to try for a friend’s wedding, as well as a few of my tried and trues. Let’s get into the haul/mini review.
I have tried J. One Jelly Pack before and immediately knew it would be perfect for days where you need your makeup glued to your face all day. Which is why I ordered it for my friend’s wedding. Now I still took it for a test run making sure it played nice. I have to say it fell flat for me this go around. I don’t know what changed, possibly my skin or the season, but this guy will be going back to Sephora.
I have heard countless beauty YouTubers rave about Huda Beauty FauxFilter Foundation. Sadly I did not color match myself correctly but I will be snagging the right shade! I really enjoyed the finish and coverage, but didn’t get to do a wear test. It was about four shades too dark so I most definitely resembled an oompa loompa.
I thought the Sephora Make No Mistake Foundation & Concealer Stick would be a good dupe for MakeUp Forever Ultra HD Foundation stick. I will say they were fairly good dupes upon initial application but this did not last on my skin. By the end of the day I was SO patchy. If you do plan to wear it short term like for a few hours the finish is beautiful, but falls extremely flat throughout the day.
I could not wait to get my hands on the Soft Glam Palette. I also thought with all the peach and dusty rose tones it would be primo for a bridesmaid eyeshadow look for said wedding. I don’t understand the hype behind this palette. There was nothing special about it at all. I would rather lug my Jaclyn Hill Morphe Palette with me everywhere and have the same (if not better) shades.
Olaplex is a tried and true product for me. I use it every week if not every other week since 2013. Ever since Olaplex came onto the blonding scene I have been a religious customer. I am so glad they are in Sephora now!
I ran out of my usual deep conditioner and decided to give the Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair! a go. I have only been able to use it once so far but I did like my initial use. It soaks in extremely well and felt like it was filling my hair verses sitting on top of it. It rinsed out very easily, my hair felt soft and smooth (not overly though?), and my curls looked stellar all day into the next. I will keep you all posted on my final thoughts! I do still want to try the Gisou hair mask.
OLEHENRIKSEN Counter Balance moisturizer is my go-to daytime moisturizer. This may be my fourth or fifth bottle? I have dry skin and I still love this stuff. It is so moisturizing, sinks right in, and your makeup goes on beautifully on top. Do yourself a favor and add this one to your regimen!
Because I love OLEHENRIKSEN products so much I have tried out a good bit of his products. The Banana Bright Eye Crème is a new staple beauty item. I use this both day and night. My eyes do not get irritated, which was an issue with my previous eye cream some nights. I have noticed a difference in my crows feet, and I love that it has vitamin c and collagen! Only the best for the most delicate skin on your face.
Do you like these Sephora hauls? Is there something I need to try that you love? Is there something you like me to try before you buy?
