We did not sit at home and eat pizza on NYE after all.
Our friends Ivey, Sara Kate, & Savannah invited us over to their humble abode for the evening. It was filled with fried chicken, collard greens, mac and cheese, honey butter, the list goes on. But most importantly we had a blast, and that’s the best way to kick off the new year!
Since this was a last minute shindig for us I opted for comfortable. I was also not in the mood to go shopping.
Shocking I know.
If you’ve been to either mall in Tallahassee, you know this means the odds were not in my favor of finding a last minute get up. I luckily snagged this sweater at H&M for a steal of just $10. I’m eyeing the light grey silver one now too. Slapped on a pair of black leggings, some thigh highs, and called it a day.
I’m pretty sure everyone and their mother heard about how last night was suppose to be the coldest night recorded in some areas. It was definitely a brisk night for Tally, and carried over into today as well. Because of this, we kicked off our morning with home made brunch and some doughnuts that are right in our backyard. Not literally.
Primarily remained hibernating by the fire for most of the day, and finished the night off with some s’mores. We did manage to throw a workout somewhere in the day, but I think all the sugar consumed probably cancelled it out. Oh whale.
What did you spend your first day of the new year doing?
