It is wild to think back and look at how relationships unfolded. Good or bad.
To think I met this man ten years ago when we both worked at the same restaurant our Junior year of high school blows my mind.
For those that do not know, Victor & I celebrated eight years of being together yesterday. I didn’t post about it yesterday because, well, it was Wednesday. Tuesday/Thursday Wants just doesn’t have the same roll off the tongue.
But honestly think of how you met certain individuals in your life. Whether they were a short story, or your tale is still being written, everyone comes into your life for one reason or another.
I know everyone says this, but we have been through wonderful times and trying times. If there is one thing I am always sure of, it’s our relationship. It’s not a matter of if we will be together, but how we will navigate what life throws at us together.
I’ve come to realize in my old age (half joking) that finding your person is not solely about the love you share, although that is a huge part of it. It is the individual who would drop everything to support you. Victor has proven time and time again that I can rely on him through thick and thin.
I can’t believe our love story has unfolded the way it has, and we are still adding to it day by day. I cherish every moment we have shared thus far, and I can hardly wait for what the future has in store for us.
I love you punk. Here’s to forever.
