If you’re a close friend of mine you’ve been hearing one of two things: 1. The shoe selection as Target is ON POINT. 2. Forever 21 is on their shit. I know I said that in yesterday’s Wednesday Wants also. I mean look at these shoes and dress?! So impressed with the quality especially for the price points. Ok enough about my affordable finds. If there is something that really resonated with me at the end of last year it was listening to Lauryn & Michael Bosstick’s Him & Her Podcast. Their first few episodes are inside jokes and incessant banter, but they do provide something intellectual or inspiring in every episode. The main message Michael stressed in multiple episodes, one podcast after the other — just do it, just start. You are never going to have a perfect product. Launch, and launch fast. Grow with your product. I had mulled over starting this blog back up for years, and quite frankly I should have never stopped. The point is hear I am, giving this thing a whirl once more because I truly have fun doing it. Don’t get me wrong, there are some posts that take a little more effort to create, but I still get joy out of each and every post. At the end of the day all that matters is at least one person reads my post, and is inspired by it. And guess what? I’ve already accomplished that. I read my own posts and I’m inspired by myself. There are women who have better style, better grammar, better life stories to share. But they aren’t sharing it. And I am. My friend Anna (who a lot of you know) mentioned how cool the concept of a blog is when we were chatting one night, and the fact that it is a virtual scrapbook to look on one day. This will never be perfect, but I can promise it will always be genuine. You may not care what I do with my life or what I have to say, and that’s fine. This is for me, and I’m doing it. If you could start something tomorrow, today, right this second, what would it be? -xx, Lauren.
